Ceramic anilox roller is an expensive and fragile accessory for printing machine, and its maintenance is very important. Due to the wide application range of ceramic anilox rollers (such as wide width, narrow width flexible, coating, etc.). The maintenance work used in different places is slightly different. This article only introduces the maintenance of ceramic anilox rollers in corrugated box printing.

The maintenance of ceramic rollers should be highly valued from the moment the anilox roller enters the factory, instead of waiting for something to go wrong, and the following points should be noted:

1. Although the ceramic roller is a "hard bone", it is very "fragile". Whether it is moved, transported or installed, it must be handled with care. Special attention should be paid to its surface not to collide with any hard objects. If the surface is broken, no matter the size of the area, the entire roller will be scrapped due to the impact on the printing quality. Because the ceramic layer cannot be repaired, the only way to break it is to polish the entire ceramic layer and re-spray it.

Second, after each printing, the ceramic roller must be cleaned before the ink is dry, because the ink after drying is very difficult to clean. If the clogging is too serious, the cleaning liquid is powerless. Unless powder cleaning is used, it can only be scrapped.

3. The ink scraper or scraper must be separated from the ceramic roller every time the machine stops, otherwise it will easily leave water marks or rust spots on the contacted area.

4. If scraping the ink with the scraper system, the pressure of the scraper must be adjusted from the minimum, and gradually increased until it is suitable, and it cannot be adjusted to a larger pressure at once. It is not only easy to adjust it once. Excessive pressure is not only easy Accelerating the wear of the anilox roller can also easily cause the blade to deform and result in dirty ink.

5. The rollers that are not in use must be placed in a special box or on a special storage rack. Even the old rollers that are going to be refurbished cannot be thrown on the ground. Because the roller body has pits, most manufacturers perform roller body restoration. There is a charge.

Among the maintenance problems of anilox rollers, the most important is cleaning. For the ceramic rollers of corrugated carton printing machines, the most feasible cleaning methods at present are mainly cleaning with cleaning fluids and powder-type cleaning machines.

The cleaning fluid is best selected from the products recommended by the anilox roll manufacturer. When using it, be sure to read the instructions and use different types of ink (such as water-based ink, oil-based ink or UV ink) according to your use. Washing fluid. Because no cleaning solution can effectively dissolve different types of ink. Special attention should be paid to some of the so-called highly effective cleaning fluids, which are often of the type of strong acids or bases. They may feel good when used, but long-term use may be harmful to the anilox roller, peripheral equipment and even workers. , And ultimately outweigh the gains. In addition to daily cleaning, it is recommended to perform a more thorough periodic cleaning at intervals.

1. Daily cleaning. It is recommended to carry out once a day before printing and finishing. Carton printing generally uses water and ink, so choose Bioclean Universal. This type of cleaning liquid is a concentrated liquid designed specifically for cleaning water and ink. Before use, it is diluted with water at a ratio of 1:10 and then used.

If the machine uses a rubber roller ink scraping system, after printing, be sure to circulate the water on the water machine before the ink is completely dried, until the water is out of color, and then use the diluted cleaning solution to cycle on the machine for 10 minutes. (The pressure of the rubber roller can be increased appropriately when the machine is on circulation).

If the machine uses a scraper ink system, first circulate with clean water until the outgoing water has no color, then use a small cloth or sponge dipped in the diluted cleaning solution to evenly rub the surface of the anilox roller, and finally use an anilox roller special wire brush ( If the anilox roller is a metal roller, you must use a copper wire brush) to scrub the anilox roller in a spiral manner.

2. Regular cleaning. It is recommended to take place every two weeks. Bioclean Gel is used for washing ink. This model has stronger cleaning strength than Bioclean Universal. When using it, wipe it evenly on the surface of the anilox roller with a small cloth or sponge, let it react for 10 minutes, and then use a wire brush to spiral forward Brush the anilox roller in the same way, then let it react for 5 minutes, then rinse it with clean water.

If the mesh is already clogged, Bioclean HD, which is stronger than Bioclean Gel, can be used. The method of use is basically the same as that of Bioclean Gel. If you can't clean it, you can heat Bioclean HD to about 60 ° C and use it for cleaning.

For rollers with serious blockage, if Bioclean HD can not be cleaned by heating, you can only resort to powder cleaning equipment, otherwise it may only be scrapped. The working principle of the powder-type cleaning machine is: the high-pressure air flow is used to spray the special soda particles onto the surface of the anilox roller, and the residual ink in the mesh hole is crushed physically, and then the soda powder and the residual ink sheet are sucked together come out. 1. Clamp the guide rail of the spray head on the machine at both ends of the anilox roller, adjust the guide rail to be parallel to the anilox roller, and gently press the spray head against the left end of the anilox roller, and then lock the guide rail.

3. Turn on the power of the color group to be cleaned and let the anilox roller rotate.

4. Start the washing machine and clean it in the standard way.

In general, once cleaned according to the standard method, the anilox roller can be thoroughly cleaned, and then observed with a high-power microscope after washing. If it is found that the partial is not cleaned thoroughly, the cleaning can be strengthened once more.
