Mitsubishi Launches Low-priced Apple's 17" Display "Short Neck"

The Macintosh's display market price has been high due to the fact that companies such as Radius own valid patents. Now, the Macintosh market is tending to be more standardized, and more manufacturers provide a display platform to the market at a lower price.

Mitsubishi (Mitsubishi) announced their newly added DIAMOND PLUS 71 display line, a cheap, Apple-compatible display.

The new monitor’s price is estimated at US$369

The display uses a technology known as Mitsubishi's Diamontron CRT, which Mitsubishi calls a Diamond Plus 71 display equipped with a patented Dynamic Beam Forming electron gun. Its performance and reliability have attracted many corporate groups that are limited by budget.

Mitsubishi said: The new Diamond Plus 71 is thinner than the previous 17" and 15" displays, making it easier to arrange in space than other displays. Therefore it is called "short neck".

The Diamond Plus 71 uses a 0.25 mm grating, 30-69 KHz horizontal scan frequency and 100 MHz refresh rate. The highest resolution is 1280*1024 65Hz
