UV curing printing ink development

Experts believe that ultraviolet (UV)-curing printing inks have been successfully commercialized in the early 1970s, and UV-curing printing inks have been introduced into the printing industry, with varying degrees of practical potential benefits for different application fields. However, the future development of UV curing ink should pay attention to the following aspects:

1. Development and research of ink composition should develop low viscosity, high cure rate oligomers, low toxicity and high activity monomers, and more efficient photoinitiators;

2. Developed a variety of UV-curable inks, further developed water-based UV-curable inks, and researched and developed highly effective dispersants that can disperse colorants in aqueous systems;

3. Strengthen the physical and chemical properties of UV-curing inks to solve the problem of UV-curable ink adhesion on special materials such as metal and plastic substrates.
