It includes flattening bundles of books, applying adhesives, drying sub-books, cutting books, picking rounds, ridges, three sticks, shell making, hot stamping, sleeve sweeping, etc., which are divided into three major processes.
Quality standard requirements for hardcover binding process
The hardcover binding includes three upper orders, namely book block processing, book backing processing and sleeve processing.
1. Hardcover book block processing quality standard requirements
(1) Flatten
â‘ Adjust the pressure regulation according to the actual thickness of the book block (one or several) being pressed.
â‘¡ When flattening, the book block should collide neatly, and there should be no irregular shrinkage, skew and tipping, and it should be laid flat.
â‘¢The thickness of the book block after flattening is basically the same and should be stacked neatly, and the four corners will not overflow to ensure that the book block is not deformed.
(2) Glue the book for the first time
â‘ Use the correct type of glue, apply thinly and evenly without spilling.
â‘¡ The first application of glue should ensure the softness and firmness of the round, so that the round will not be scattered after the ridge is raised.
(3) Grilled round
â‘ The manual rounding is correct, and the rounding of the machine is adjusted properly.
â‘¡The roundness of the round circle is calculated by the thickness of the book block, and the center angle of the arc is between 90 degrees and 130 degrees.
â‘¢The rounded book block has the same round shape, skewed or one end is large and one end is small, to ensure that the upper and lower corners of the cut edge are vertical.
â‘£ After the book block is rounded, there is no cracking or wrinkling, and it is firm and flat without rounding.
(4) Rising
â‘ The book block is clamped and positioned correctly, the four corners are flat and not skewed, and the exposed part of the book block spine is parallel to the top and bottom.
â‘¡ The spine is smashed properly with no cracks or wrinkles, and the back of the book is sturdy and firm, keeping the roundness correct.
③The height of the ridge is the same, the thickness of the cardboard is 2.5mm, and the height of the ridge is 3mm, and the height is 4mm. The angle between the protruding part of the spine and the writing is 120 degrees ± 10 degrees (the inclination of the ridge to the surface).
(5) Sticky bookmark tape and caulking cloth
â‘ The adhesive used is appropriate, apply evenly without overflowing the incision.
②Label length: 20 ± 10mm longer than the diagonal of the book block. Bookmark bandwidth: 3-4mm for books 32 and below, and 5-7mm for books 16 and above.

â‘£ Cloth length: the width of the back of the book (square back) or the arc of the book back is 1mm.
⑤The wiring edge of the plug is exposed on the cutouts at the two ends of the book back.
(6) Sticky backing paper
â‘ Adhesive should be properly selected and applied evenly without spilling.
â‘¡The length of the back sheet of the book: 4mm shorter than the book block. Width of the back of the book: the width of the back of the book (square back) is 1-2mm longer than the arc length of the book.
â‘¢ The width of the two sides of the back sheet of paper after sticking is uniform without skew, sticking flat without wrinkle, and the length is uniform.
(7) Sticky paper
â‘ Adhesive is appropriate, apply evenly and uniformly, without overflowing and no flower.
â‘¡The length of the paper: 3 ~ 4mm longer than the book block. Paper width: add 5mm glue to the arc length of the two books.
â‘¢The paper material is selected correctly. The sticking is not skewed, the sticking is not falling off, and the sticking is flat without wrinkles.
