The German mold and hot runner technology company MHT) has developed a series of molds for processing plastic preforms that can process PP preforms using a variety of PET blends, including 100% PET regrind. MHT has completed the manufacturing of these molds with the help of several machinery manufacturers.
At the Drinktec Beverage and Liquid Food Trade Fair held in Munich, Germany, September 12-17, 2005, MHT launched a new product concept that includes: “2 to 5 gallons of drinking water bottles†8 Mould molds.†In 2004, the company also introduced high-yield injection molds with 96 to 192 mold cavities. These mold products were immediately marketed by a number of manufacturers for processing various plastic bottles.
