In the past two years, the corrugated paperboard has been greatly improved in all aspects of technical printing, driven by the low production costs of direct corrugated board printing, simplified processes, high efficiency, and safety and environmental protection. With the continuous upgrading of wide-format flexographic printing presses, several domestic flexographic printing machine manufacturers have actively developed and launched high-precision, high-line flexographic printing presses. In addition, along with it, digital plates and high-grade inks are widely used in corrugated board printing.

A flexo printer equipped with a high-line anilox roller can print a printed product with a low dot expansion rate and a high network cable. However, the higher the anilox roller is, the smaller the ink-carrying capacity of the anilox roller is because the uncoated paper can absorb the ink. Anilox rollers with low ink loading on higher screens cannot print solid colors on liner paper or white card paper. In this case, using coated paper for printing is an ideal choice. Printing on coated paper can result in a higher coloring, ie, a fuller, brighter color, compared to uncoated white or white kraft paper. In addition, the dot image is clearer, and it also has a very good gloss. The overall printing effect is bright, which is beyond the scope of ordinary white cattle cardboard or liner paper, and the use of coated paper in the outer packaging carton printing is more attractive to the eye. However, it is difficult to perform flexographic printing on coated paper directly, mainly because the coating on the surface of the paper fills the fiber-connected pores on the surface of the cardboard. After the ink is printed on the surface of the coating, the coated paper is coated. The coating on the surface prevents the paper from absorbing and penetrating the ink. The ink can only stick on the surface of the coating, causing the ink to drier during the printing process. If the ink cannot be dried in time, it is easy to produce prints, decolorize and rewetting under wet conditions, as well as problems such as difficulty in overprinting between colors and slow production speed. During printing, problems such as dragging, discoloration, and overprinting can be technically overcome by improving the performance of the ink. The speed of production is directly related to the drying speed of the ink. The ink drying speed is also related to the ink absorption of the paper itself. If the ink can quickly dry on the coating, naturally, problems such as dragging, decoloring, overprinting, and slow production are no longer a problem. Therefore, the core problem of post-flex printing on coated paper is the slow drying of ink. The drying time of an ordinary non-coated white bullnose or liner paper ink is about 3 seconds, and the ink drying time of a gray-white paperboard is about 20 seconds. As for the problem of slow drying of ink on coated paper, there is a new type of light-coated white ox cardboard for flexo printing. It absorbs ink quickly, and the drying time of ink is about 5 seconds. The speed of printing can be greatly improved, and other problems can be easily solved. Of course, it would be better if the press was equipped with drying equipment.

In recent years, in order to enable printing and packaging companies to easily overcome the difficulties in printing production, a light-coated white bull card between white and heavy coated paper came out. During the production process, when passing through the hot plate of the paperboard production line, the surface coating is easily worn and scratched, causing defects in the subsequent printing. The thicker the coating, the slower the ink dries and the more difficult it is to print. And the coating thickness is easy to remove powder. The gray-white paper itself is a kind of recycled waste paper, and the physical properties of the recycled waste paper are lower than those of the original paper. At present, the domestic paper mills are generally restricted by the raw materials and technologies. Under the influence of the conditions such as the tensile strength, folding resistance, smoothness of the paper surface, and uneven coating stability, the coated white board is usually used. Only 250 grams or more of high-gram weight paper is produced. The higher the paper weight, the higher the paper cost. The use of low-weight paper is one of the most effective ways to reduce the cost of raw material production and to reduce waste production.

The performance of the paper depends mainly on its own fiber structure and surface treatment. The fiber structure of the paper is composed of primary fibers, waste paper fibers, and the raw fibers are fresh pure wood pulp fibers. This approach is to recycle used packaging boxes to paper mills, causing the paper to be processed into packaged packaging products to the end user and recycled to the paper mills, but this is a material recycling process.
