Original manufacturer packaging

The original manufacturer's packaging is usually designed to be used as a container shipment rather than a single shipment. In addition, they are also designed as single-use transport products rather than multiple uses. Therefore, reusing original equipment manufacturers' packaging for individual parcel shipments will increase the risk of product damage. Only when the manufacturer's packaging has been specifically designed to withstand collisions and is in a completely new state can it be packaged for use.

Use only original manufacturer packaging

Use this packaging only when the original manufacturer's packaging is in a brand new or almost new state. The more often the package is used, the more it loses the original protection quality and may not be enough to protect the shipment. Make sure that the packaging is strong and in good condition without any perforations, tears, cracks, or edges and corners, and that all covers are intact. Never use shoe boxes or cardboard boxes. Remove old address labels, dangerous goods indicators (such as diamond labels and tags), and delivery labels and bar codes for the previous shipment. Make sure the inner foam does not burst or crack. If the foam is already broken, replace it with a new foam insert.

Double-layer boxed original manufacturer packaging

Another option that involves using the original manufacturer's packaging is to use a two-tier box. All electronic equipment should use a double-pack unless it meets the special reuse conditions listed above. To double-layer boxed original manufacturer packaging:

Make sure that the original packaging is in good condition and that the inner foam does not burst or burst. If the foam has cracked, replace it with a new foam insert or use a two inch (5.08 cm) wide pressure sensitive tape for repair. It is important that the shipment cannot move within the original manufacturer's shipping container.

Select a new transport container that is longer, wider, and taller than the original manufacturer's box by at least six inches (15.24 cm).

Fill the bottom of the new shipping container with at least three inches (7.62 cm) of thick foam, polyethylene corner or rim liner material, inflatable packaging, loose filler particles, or other suitable liner material. Do not use wrinkled or shredded paper.

Place the original manufacturer's box on top of the cushioning material and in the center of the shipping container while leaving at least three inches (7.62 cm) of cushioning material around the remaining five sides of the package.

The remaining empty space in the package is filled with foam, polyethylene corner or rim liner material, inflatable packaging, loose filler particles or other suitable cushioning material.

Use a pressure-sensitive or nylon-reinforced tape two inches (5.08 cm) or wider, or a 60-pound, three-inch (7.62 cm) wide, water-reactive tape to seal the shipping container. Attach three tapes to the top and bottom of the box and firmly close the box so that the middle seam and the two edge seams are sealed.
