How to set up and use the benchmark line when asphalt concrete paving

The asphalt concrete paver with automatic leveling device, driven by the internal combustion engine, allows the paving machine to spread the asphalt concrete and adjust the level of the screed through the hydraulic device to control the flatness of the paving. The adjustment signal of the hydraulic device comes from an on-board electronic instruction box. The information of the electronic instruction is the signal from the sensors on both sides of the paver, and the sensors on both sides are in contact with the reference line on the ground. Because the paver is running, the foundation layer is uneven, but there are changes, the sensor touches the reference line, and generates small changes. The signal is transmitted to the electronic instruction box at any time, and the hydraulic joystick is extended and retracted by the instruction, so that after the paving The asphalt concrete remains on a flat base surface. Therefore, it is very important to say that the baseline is erected.

The reference line is a 3mm diameter steel wire rope supported by a tuner. It needs to be tensioned by not less than 15kgf and tightened. The adjustable support spacing is between 7m and 10m, and it is firmly in contact with the base layer. There are three kinds of adjustable supports, one is a steel pile with movable support caps, one is a flat support lifting frame, and there are small manual jacks, as shown in the following figure.

The baseline is within the range of 30 to 60 cm outside the width of the paver's work width, requiring a centerline for parallel paving operations.

The distance from the base line to the base line is 20~30cm. It should not be too high, too high to affect the sensor placement.

The elevation of the baseline is a key task. The level of the top of each adjustable support should be measured one by one. The elevation of the top of the support is the design elevation of the asphalt concrete at that point. Therefore, multiple fixed values ​​are added. This value is in each operation segment. Inside, it should be constant.

Due to the requirement of sports ground conditions, only two straight sections are used to build asphalt concrete, most of which are curved sections, and the use of 3mm steel wire as the reference line is difficult. Therefore, special-shaped aluminum alloy steel beams have been used instead, which is very effective.
