First, the operation and adjustment of the grid knife hybrid folding machine

There are two kinds of folder folding methods: one for fence folding and the other for knife folding.

The bar-knife hybrid folding machine is the main model for bookbinding in the current day. It is composed of a paper feeding mechanism, a fence folding mechanism, a folding knife folding mechanism, a paper receiving mechanism, and an electric control system. It is characterized by fast folding speed, stable performance, multiple folding styles, no wrinkles, high production efficiency and easy maintenance. The following uses ZYH660 as an example to illustrate the operation of the folder.

First advance the safety cam, check the machine, and start the following operations.

1, the operation of the paper feeding mechanism

(1) Stacking operation

When a stack of paper is ready to be loaded, the thinner paper is first indented; when stacking paper, the stacker is lowered to a suitable height.

Special Note: The stacking operation directly affects the folding quality. Therefore, when the stacking is in progress, it is required that the side edge and the front side be flush.

(2) Adjustment of paper separation mechanism

When the stack of paper rises to a certain height, it stops automatically (controlled by the height probe). At this time, the paper suction nozzle is higher than the paper stack by about 1mm.

Paper separation mechanism can be adjusted up and down according to the paper format.

The air volume of the mouthpiece is suitable for the sheet to flutter slightly under the suction wheel. The brush or steel on the separation mechanism is used to prevent double sheets from being produced when the sheet is separated. The adjustment is based on the fact that no double sheets are produced and no mess is caused.

(3) Adjustment of the suction wheel

Suction wheel suction is controlled by the solenoid valve, the main role is to transport paper. The amount of inhalation can be adjusted by turning the knob, clockwise rotation, inspiratory volume decreases, and vice versa.

The suction point of suction wheel has three positions: front, middle and back. In general, the suction point is in the middle vertical position.

The suction length of the suction wheel is controlled by the selector switch on the operation panel. The feed speed is slow and the intake time is longer. On the contrary, the intake time is shorter.

(4) Adjustment of double sheet controller

Place the paper in half (twice the thickness of the folded paper) under the controller knurled screw. The sector is driven to push the micro switch. The solenoid valve is de-energized and the suction is cut off. If you do not stop feeding, finely adjust the knurled nails to stop them.

(5) Adjustment of the feeding station

Loosen the star knob, adjust the paper feed rule with ball plate to the sheet size, and tighten the star knob. According to the width of the sheet, adjust the feeding steel strip so that the side of the printed sheet passes on the steel strip.

The ball of pressure on the ball plate has steel ball and plastic ball. Its role is to cooperate with the feeding belt to ensure that the printed sheet enters the fence correctly along the side rule. In actual production, steel balls and plastic balls are placed according to the nature of the paper. Place 1 to 2 steel balls near the folding roller to facilitate paper alignment. The knurled nut can be adjusted if the paper is not cut properly or if the sides of the mouth are not uniform. In addition, rotate the star handle to fine-tune the position of the paper so that the center of the signature is aligned with the center of the first knife.

(6) Adjustment of folding roller speed and feed pitch

Use frequency conversion speed control to control the speed of the motor to change the speed of the folding roller. Turn the knob right to speed up and left to decelerate.

Special note: The mechanical knife folding machine adopts a stepless transmission. When adjusting the folding knife frequency and the folding roller speed, it must be performed during the operation of the machine.

The paper feed distance refers to the distance between the previous paper and the next paper, and the paper length is generally 100 to 150 mm. The adjustment of the paper feeding pitch of the electronic control knife folding machine is set in the man-machine interface, and the mechanical knife folding machine should be carried out while the machine is running. Rotate the hand wheel clockwise to reduce the paper feed distance and the speed of the fold. On the contrary, the paper feed pitch increases and the folding speed decreases.

2, adjustment of the fence folding mechanism

(1) Adjustment of the folding roller gap

In actual production, due to the difference in the thickness of the paper, the degree of parallelism and clearance of the folding roller must be properly adjusted.

Specific methods: Loosen the fastening screws on the support; press the previously cut paper with the same thickness as the folded paper into the support platen to increase the clearance of the folding roller; Place the two ends of the folding roller respectively. Drag the paper strip by hand and adjust the knurled cock. Pull the two sides of the paper. When you feel the same tension on both sides, tighten the screws. (To be continued)
