Quick-set indentation mold introduction and selection

Recently, a management consultation was conducted for three packaging companies and it was found that the die-cutting workers of these packaging companies are not very familiar with the quick-fit indentation molds. In the die-cutting board, it often asks the technicians in the workshop or the manager in the workshop which kind of creasing die to use, which wastes his own time and brings a lot of extra work to the management staff. Obviously, this phenomenon was caused by the lack of capacity of die-cutting workers, but it also revealed that the education and training of enterprises was not enough. Therefore, for the managers of enterprises, the training of operators of different positions in technology and skills and the formulation of practical work instructions are the basic work that a company must do.

The following is a brief introduction to the quick-loading indentation molds that have emerged in recent years.

1 Analysis of stress on cardboard during indentation

In the process of indentation, the paperboard is subjected to two pairs of shear forces on both sides of the crease groove. At the same time, the paperboard is also subjected to extrusion under the pressure of the steel wire. In addition, the outer layer of the paperboard is subjected to pulling force, and The inner layer is subjected to a compressive force.

Therefore, under the joint action of three kinds of forces, the paperboard causes the molecular bonding between the fiber surfaces in contact with each other in the internal structure of the paperboard to be destroyed, and the irreversible displacement between the fiber surfaces occurs, that is, the paperboard is permanently deformed.

If the outer layer tension and the inner layer compressive force exceed the cohesion between the layers of the cardboard, the inner layers of the cardboard will be split, so that the folding point becomes soft and easy to bend; if this force is too great, the outer layer of the cardboard will be broken, Therefore, the pressure should be controlled according to the bearing capacity of the paper.

Use of 2-speed indentation molds

Fast-actuated indentation molds are an auxiliary material commonly used in die-cutting processes that have emerged in recent years. The material can be quickly affixed on the die-cut indentation plate, which is very convenient and fast to use, and the indentation quality is stable.

The quick-setting indentation mold is mainly composed of an indentation mold, a positioning plastic strip, an elastic film, and a protective tape. Wherein, the indentation mold completes the indentation of the substrate; the positioning plastics strip is used to determine the exact position of the indentation mold when the adhesive indentation mold is installed; the function of the elastic base film is to adhere the indentation mold to the die-cut indentation substrate. The protective tape is used to protect the primer during daily transportation or storage.

The following items should be paid attention to when using the quick-loading indentation mold: 1 Do not store it in high temperature and high humidity environment to avoid poor adhesion of primer; 2 Do not put the bottom of the indentation before use The paper is opened; 3 Before transferring the quick-set indentation mold to the die-cutting floor board, the bottom board must be wiped cleanly so as to avoid the dust, paper, and oil on the bottom board to cause the adhesion to be loose; 4 To prevent the cutting process A walk occurs, and a flash adhesive can be applied around the indentation film.

3 speed indentation film selection

The specification of the quick-setting indentation film is based on the marking method of indentation groove depth (mm) × indentation groove width (mm). Therefore, the quick-set indentation film is selected according to the thickness of the paper and the thickness of the indentation steel wire.

The principle of the selection of the depth of the indentation groove is about the thickness of the board paper for the board paper and the thickness of the board after the board is pressed for the corrugated board.

Indentation groove width selection principle:

For general board paper, the width of the creasing cavity can be calculated by the following formula:

B=(1.3-1.5)C+d

In the formula: B is the width of the indentation die groove, C is the paperboard compaction thickness, and d is the thickness of the steel wire.

When the direction of the cardboard wire is parallel to the indentation mold, the coefficient is taken as a low value; when the direction of the cardboard wire is perpendicular to the indentation mold, the coefficient takes a high value.

For corrugated board, the width of the indentation cavity can be calculated using the following formula:

B=(1.8-2.0)C+d

In the formula: B is the width of the indentation die groove, C is the compacted thickness of the corrugated cardboard, and d is the thickness of the steel wire.

When the corrugation direction of the cardboard is parallel to the indentation mold, the low value is taken when the corrugation is oriented; when the corrugation direction of the cardboard is perpendicular to the indentation mold, the coefficient takes a high value.
