Recently, the Korea Technical Standards Agency announced No. 2012-25, based on the consumer safety considerations of Article 19 of the Industrial Products Quality Management and Safety Control Act, it is proposed to promulgate the “Safety of Self-regulated Safety Confirmation†standard. The standard specifies labeling requirements for safety requirements such as volatile organic compounds, test methods, and interior coatings, including furniture coatings for household and office use. For consumer products that are self-regulatory safety confirmed, the manufacturer or importer is required to submit a test certificate to the safety certification body to confirm product safety before the product is put on the market or before customs clearance. Upon request, the certificate is issued by a testing laboratory or inspection agency designated according to the product model to verify that the product meets safety standards.
To this end, the inspection and quarantine department reminds the furniture enterprises exporting to South Korea: pay close attention to the labeling requirements of Korean household and office furniture coatings, ensure that the products meet the safety standards; strengthen communication with the Korean traders, and respond to the requirements of the other party in a timely manner. At the same time, strengthen communication with the inspection and quarantine department to ensure the smooth export of products.
Pressure cooking is the process of cooking food, using water or other cooking liquid, in a sealed vessel, known as apressure cooker.
