Amut collaborates with AMU to design a new coextrusion line

Recently, Amut and its sister company, AMU, designed a new coextrusion line with a flat die and calender to produce 5-layer A-PET and PET-G sheets for thermoforming food packaging and industrial packaging. material. There are three sets of extruders in this production line, with an output of 600 kg per hour. In three sets of extruders, two sets of main extruders and co-extruders (length-to-diameter ratio 28) used for extrusion of inner and outer layers and intermediate layers are equipped with 70 mm and 60 mm screws, respectively. The screws are specially designed. Suitable for processing the above polymers.

The use of slotted barrels in the feed zone maximizes the production efficiency of sheets with thicknesses of 0.18 μm to 1.15 μm. The melt is continuously filtered by a double platen screen changer. The melt is continuously fed into the die by an on-line gear pump and a static mixer to produce a sheet with a net width of up to 1000 mm. The die head is equipped with an adjustable upper die lip and the internal geometry of the flow channel is specially designed according to the rheological characteristics of various types of PET sold on the market.

The vertical calendering system uses a three-roller calender: it uses a separate transmission type AC vector motor to achieve synchronous transmission; the internal material chamber ensures high-efficiency heat exchange and ensures uniform temperature distribution. Moreover, the press rolls have reasonable hardness, smoothness and surface finish to produce high-quality, clear, transparent composite PET sheets. When the pressure roller is closed, the motorized positioning is performed by a linear transducer and the gap between them is shown. Downstream operations include a set of sheet lead-out devices for dipping and drying silicone anti-static liquids, and a system for simultaneous slitting of up to five film rolls.
