As everyone in the industry knows, the Founder Book Typesetting System is a commonly used typesetting software for Chinese books. In book layout, the layout of the title plays a decisive role in terms of layout effect or layout efficiency.
It is often said that the title is the eyes of the article, not only because the title plays a high role in generalizing the content of the article, but the title is also responsible for arousing readers' interest and guiding readers to read. In the layout design, the layout of the title directly affects the expression of the layout level. Arranging reasonable titles can not only express the content and structure of the article well, but also help readers read it. When the title is typeset, the choice of the typesetting method is appropriate, which can achieve a multiplier effect and at the same time, it is also a guarantee for the quality of the typesetting.
There are two methods for the layout of the title of the Founder Book Edition: one is the single annotation method, and the other is the special title arrangement method. In other words, the same title can have two different layouts. Which one is the most appropriate, that is, fast and accurate layout, requires specific analysis.
1. Annotation
Single annotation method means that each format of the title needs to be controlled by a corresponding annotation. When the format of the title is complicated, it usually requires multiple annotations to complete the layout of a title.
If the title of an article is No. 2 subscript Song, occupying 5 lines, center row, when using a single annotation method for typesetting, several annotations such as HT, HS, and JZ are required. The sample is: 〖HS5〗 〖HT2XBS〗 〖JZ〗 .
When arranging titles by single annotation method, if multiple annotations are used together, special attention should be paid to the order of the annotations. The line number annotation (HS) must be placed in the outermost layer, and the order is generally HS, SQ, HT, WT, JZ, DQ.
If the order of the above sample annotations is adjusted to: [HT2XBS] [HS5] [JZ], the layout that is discharged is far from the required layout.
The three annotations "〖HS5〗 〖HT2XBS〗 〖JZ〗 '' and" 〖HT2XBS〗 〖HS5〗 〖JZ〗 are exactly the same, except that the HS annotations and HT annotations are reversed in order, but the layouts are not the same. What is the reason?
The reason lies in the unit of <blank line parameter> in the HS annotation.
According to the line rules, the occupation of the title is counted as a multiple of the text line height, that is to say, the <blank line parameter> in the HS annotation should be in the text line height as a unit. In general, the positive number of the book is number 5, if the order of annotations is 〖HS5〗 〖HT2XBS〗 〖JZ〗, it means that the title occupies the line with the body line height (that is, the 5th character) as the unit, and occupies the height of 5 lines, which is the title Occupies the height of 5 lines of No. 5 font; if the order of the note is 〖HT2XBS〗 〖HS5〗 〖JZ〗, it means that the title occupies the line size in the HT note before the HS note, that is, the No. 2 word is the unit, accounting for 5 The height of the line, so the title occupies the height of 5 line heights of size 2, so the layout space occupied by the title is much larger. Therefore, when arranging titles using HS annotations, it is best to restore the version heart size 〖HT〗 and version center line spacing 〖HJ〗, so as to ensure that the line occupied by the title is based on the body line height (line height = word height + line spacing) as the unit .
In addition, when using line number annotation (HS), you should also pay attention to the following two points:
①HS annotations have two forms: "〖HS <blank line parameter>〗" and opening and closing arc "〖HS (<blank line parameter>〗 <title content> 〖HS)〗". Generally, the bracket pair form is used for The layout of single-line single-level headings, the opening and closing arc form is used for multi-line single-level headings or multi-level single-line headings.
② When the titles are arranged in the form of open and closed arcs, 〖HS)〗 has automatic line-breaking function, and ensures that at least one line of text is behind the title, which can automatically prevent back-questioning, which means that the book title appears at the end of the edition and there is no text under the title. If you use line feed or paragraph break after 〖HS), a line will be vacant. Therefore, under normal circumstances, when using HS annotations to open and close arc headings, remember that you do n’t need to add line breaks or paragraphs after 〖HS〗.
Obviously, when the format of each title is different, a single annotation method is the best choice. When typesetting, you can only add a corresponding annotation to each title to exhaust the titles in different formats.
But the titles of books are usually graded and standardized. In book layout, the largest heading is usually called the first-level heading, followed by the second-level heading, and so on, followed by the third-level heading, the fourth-level heading ...; and the format of the heading at the same level must be exactly the same. In other words, in a book, there will be many titles in the same format. If you still use the single-note method to arrange the titles, you need to add comments one by one, so that not only is there a lot of repetitive work, the workload is heavy, and it is easy to make mistakes. Because, if you accidentally type a character incorrectly in a comment of one of the titles, the format of the title and other titles at the same level may be inconsistent, and you may not even be able to typeset.
Therefore, Founder's book layout system has a title layout specifically for book titles, that is, a special title layout. [next]
2. Special Title Arrangement
The special title arrangement method is to complete the layout of the title by cooperating with the definition of the title and the annotation of the title. That is, the arrangement of the titles at all levels is defined by the title definition in the overall format description file (ie, PRO file), and the annotation of the title in the sample file ( BT) Mark the content to be arranged into a title and the level to which it belongs. The combination of the two can complete the layout of the title.
If the title of a certain level is No. 2 subscript Song, occupying 5 lines, center row, when typesetting with special heading layout, first set the title format to No. 2 subscript Song, occupying 5 lines through the title definition in the overall layout document , Center, in the sample file, just add a note of 〖BT1〗 in front of the title to complete the layout.
According to the layout requirements, the arrangement of titles at all levels is defined in sequence in the PRO file, and the corresponding title annotations are added in front of the titles at all levels in the sample file to complete the title layout of the entire book.
It is worth noting that after the PRO file is set up, it must be saved, and the PRO file and the sample file must have the same main file name and must be stored in the same directory, otherwise the parameters in the PRO file will not be read during the system layout scan. The resulting layout is incorrect, or even unable to typeset.
Same as the line number annotation (HS), the title annotation (BT) also has brackets "〖BT <level number> [<increase> <empty line parameter>] [#]〗" and open and close arcs "〖BT (<level No.> <Level No.> <Level No.> 〔<Increase and Decrease> <Empty Line Parameter>〕 〔#〕〗 <Title Content> 〖BT)〗 Two kinds of forms, similarly, the bracket pair form is used for single line single level heading The typesetting, opening and closing arc form is used for multi-line single-level headings or multi-level single-line headings.
When using title annotations (BT), you should also pay attention to the following points:
①When headings are arranged in the form of open and closed arcs, 〖BT)〗 has an automatic line-breaking function, and no line breaks or line breaks can be used afterwards, otherwise a line will be vacant. Open and closed arc heading annotations also automatically prevent backtracking.
â‘¡ "<Increase / Decrease>" parameter is used to adjust the occupation of individual headings. When arranging single-level multi-row headings, the originally defined occupation is not suitable, and the number of (+) lines can be increased on the basis of the original occupation; or multi-level headings When lining up, you can use the "<Increase>" parameter to adjust the total occupied lines of the multi-level headings. Generally, you need to reduce the number of (-) lines.
③ Title annotation defines a clear title range. Within this range, no matter how the font number and position change, it will not affect the text after the title. There is no need to add 〖HT〗 annotation after the title to restore the version heart font number.
It can be seen from the above: the title layout method of "title definition + title annotation", that is, the special title layout method, is a standard and flexible title layout method. The arrangement of titles at all levels only needs to be defined once in the PRO file, and the corresponding title annotations can be added in front of each title of the sample file to complete the title layout of the entire book, and can ensure that the title format of the entire book at the same level is completely consistent.
When the format of a certain level title needs to be modified, only the corresponding parameters of that level title in the PRO file need to be modified. If the first-level heading was originally No. 2 subscript Song, after the typesetting, it is required to change to No. 2 boldface. Just change the font of the first-level headline in the PRO file of the file to boldface. No need to change the title annotation in the sample file. If you use a single annotation method for typesetting, you need to modify the parameters one by one in the sample file. Obviously, the special title arrangement method is superior to the single annotation method in the layout of book titles, regardless of the quality or efficiency of layout.
When arranging single-line multi-level headings or multi-level single-line headings in a row, the originally defined heading may not be suitable for the line. The special heading layout method can be adjusted by "<addition> <empty line parameter>" in the sample file header annotation Of the line. For example, if the original first-level headline is No. 2 subscript Song, which occupies 5 lines, a certain headline needs to be arranged in two lines because of too many words. If the headline is still arranged in 5 lines, it may appear a little crowded. At this time, only You need to change the original title annotation 〖BT1〗 to 〖BT1 + 2〗 in the sample file, that is, add two more lines to the title, so that the title will not be so crowded. In other words, when individual titles need to be adjusted, simply set the parameters of the title annotation in the sample file.
Obviously, after adjusting the title occupation line by increasing or decreasing the blank line parameters, the layout is beautiful and coordinated. Therefore, the special title arrangement is a standard and flexible title arrangement.
It is especially important to note that when you use a special title layout, you must define the layout of titles at all levels before scanning, otherwise the system will report a "title is not defined" error and cannot complete the layout.
In summary, when arranging titles for the Founder book layout system, the arrangement of titles should be appropriately selected according to the specific conditions of the titles. In the single annotation method, each format of the title needs to be controlled by a corresponding annotation. When the title format is more complicated, multiple annotations are often required to discharge the title in the desired format. Therefore, the single annotation method is suitable for a small number of titles or When the title format is different. The special title arrangement method needs to cooperate with the definition of the title and the annotation of the title to complete the layout of the title. Therefore, it is suitable for the situation where there are multiple titles at the same level and the title format requires more than two annotations.
In typesetting, only the proper typesetting method can be selected to ensure the quality of typesetting and improve the efficiency of typesetting; otherwise, it can only be done with less effort and even affects the quality of typesetting.
